Marital,
Divorce & Paternity Litigation
The
Denman Law Firm is committed to helping clients deal effectively
with the issues that usually accompany divorce or marital and paternity
litigation. The issues that may arise in these cases are:
- Dissolution
of Marriage
- Child
Custody
- Child
Support and How Much It Will Be
-
Child Visitation/Time Sharing
- Alimony/Spousal
Support
- Equitable
Distribution of Marital Debts and Assets
- DNA
Parentage Determinations
- Relocation
By Custodial Parents
We
seek to help our clients secure an early resolution to these issues
through negotiation, mediation, or if necessary, judicial intervention.
We endeavor to seek the least costly means for our clients to achieve
such a resolution. If a case can be resolved without a trial then
we prepare a Marital Settlement Agreement that once signed by both
parties, will be incorporated by the judge assigned to the clients
case in the Final Judgment. In other words, your agreement becomes
the order of the court.
Equitable
Distribution is a process whereby the assets and liabilities that
are accumulated and incurred during the marriage are divided between
divorcing spouses. In complex cases, such as those that require
a determination as to whether assets or debts are nonmarital (not
subject to Equitable Distribution) or marital (subject to Equitable
Distribution) we employ forensic accountants to assist us and to
testify for you. In abuse and/or child custody cases we also employ
psychologists to assist us and testify for you. In paternity cases,
we work with DNA Parentage services that will analyze DNA information
and give their opinions regarding parentage by report or testimony.
We
believe that all children need the involvement of both parents in
their lives. We endeavor to work out reasonable and workable visitation
and time sharing arrangements that are beneficial for the minor
children as well as the parents.
We
stand ready and able to assist you with marital, divorce or paternity
litigation. If you would like The Denman Law Firm to give you an
